Just Breath

Words elude me
Feelings too raw
Close to the surface
Like a dam about to break
Emotions ever-present
Wrapping my soul like a blanket
Numbness takes over
days pass in a blur
Unsure of everything
Excited for the future
Happiness is near
A need for rebirth
Fear consumes my gut
frightened of the future
Holding on is all I do
I breath….
I will just breath

Sometimes just breathing is enough for awhile. A need for rebirth will get you going. And around you is a circle of friends. Keep writing and good luck.

    Dear Lola

One breath at a time like this.. I enjoyed this one.
Just one thing, I wondering if in the line ‘Feelings to raw’ the word ‘to’ should be ‘too’ …
    Thanks for your sharing.

You do well to share the emotional tug of war, breath, just breath, then feel the calming of emotions…
