Sing With Me

Sing a song with me
It can be any type
How about some public Enemy
“Don’t believe the hype”

Can you carry a tune
Do you want to try
Would a little Fergie do
“Big Girls Don’t Cry”

We could protest in song
We could hope to “legalize it”
How can “One Love” be wrong
In hard times Marley always fits

Drive with me to the coast
Will sing along to the cranberries
“In your Head” I will boast
As we yell out “zombie, zombie”

Dixie Chicks always seem to know how I feel
As Fleetwood Mac picks me up off the ground
They “see our reflection in a snow-covered hill”
and “have the landslide bring us down”

We could harmonize or try to do our best
We could feel our pain with Adele
“The scars of your love leave me breathless”
Rolling in the Deep is just I feel

We could “move like Jagger”
Mix it up with some Adam Levine
We could throw in some swagger
We could become “Dancing Queen”

Whatever you want to listen too
All genres work with me
Rock, Country, Rap, soul or Blues
I Just want to sing!

Waiting to stop waiting for life

Waiting for my life to start
Waiting for my heart to stop
Waiting for the hardest part
Just when will this bubble pop

Waiting for the sun to rise
Waiting for the laughter
Waiting for the hope in their eyes
To see what will come after

Waiting for the truth to come out
Waiting for what’s real
Waiting for a new route
To get us up this hill

Waiting for the waiting to end
waiting for the rest
Waiting for the change to begin
Hoping for the best

Waiting for the obvious choice
Waiting for clearest direction
Waiting here confident and poised
To see my own reflection

Waiting to stop waiting now
Waiting for the end or beginning
Waiting to get through some how
And Stop my mind from spinning

Waiting to stop this waiting for life
Waiting to acknowledge it some how
Waiting to feel excited and alive
Ready for it to start right now

The Perfect Gift

Ripples flowed across the water from the gentle wind that blew
Coming from the north as cold as snow and dripping with morning dew

Ducks pop up from the silver surface, surprising all that reside above
Were they searching for some fish to eat or simply playing in the sun

All the while the squirrels frolic in the trees, like excited children
Zig zapping from branches that formed a canopy for them to play in

Last nights rain stood motionless in the confines of its muddy home
Only moving slightly from a small insect or from a boy out on a roam

A woman stands at the water’s edge, aware of all of this and more
She sees it all as a well-played symphony and plans to ask for a encore

It’s Natures best in all it’s form and she feels blessed just to be a part of it
She wishes she had both wings and gills to really appreciate this perfect gift

Hot Sex

I had to put this in to see how many hits I get from just the title. My post popular blog post that I have ever made was one of my first ever, and it was called “My first G-String”. That post gets hit at least once a day, EVERY SINGLE DAY! The theory around here is that people go onto google and search “G-String”, and my post comes up. So, what is going to happen with this one? Do I have a bunch of horny people looking at my blog? Or do people just do a lot of research on their underwear before they buy them? YES this is the post about HOT SEX! Did you like it? Was it good for you?
Was it as good as you had hoped?

Trepidation

She hurried out the door
Ignoring the speed limits
She had the pedal to the floor
Trying to close the distance
between them

She tried to calm down
She tried to just breath
She started talking out loud
She didn’t care, no one could see
her debate

“Why would you go again?
What good could possibly come?
Do you really want something to begin?
Last time you left in a run.
Why more?”

Then there was the other side
The laughter, the song
“They say love is blind
How could this be wrong
for me?”

She drove to fast
Not sure where she was
Still fighting with her past
And all the things that he does
to her.

Her heart raced
As she got closer to him
She sped up her pace
Her fears were starting to win
her mind.

“What if he is already in a bad mood?
What if I say something wrong?
What am I going to do?
His hold on me is so strong
what do I do?”

“Hopefully he will be happy,
Hopefully he will show he cares,
Hopefully he won’t be mad at me,
For just walking up his stairs,
we’ll see.”

As she reached his home
She didn’t know what to think
She mostly felt alone
She felt she would just sink
into nothing.

The trepidation was heavy
She was almost in tears
Her feelings, she had a bevy
She had to face her fears
again.

She slowly walked to his door
Nothing has changed though it’s been awhile
She is not sure if she can stand any more
She suddenly see’s him and starts to smile
she breaths.

“Merry Happy”

Watching me like you never watch no one
Don’t tell me that you didn’t try and check out my bum
Cause I know that you did
Cause your friend told me that you liked it

Gave me those pearls and I thought they were ugly
Though you try to tell me that you never loved me
I know that you did
‘Cause you said it and you wrote it down

Dancing at discos
Eating cheese on toast
Yeah you make me merry make me very very happy
But you obviously, you didn’t want to stick around

Dancing at discos
Eating cheese on toast
Yeah you make me merry make me very very happy
But you obviously, you didn’t want to stick around

So I learnt from you
Do do do da do do do do do da do do do do do da do
So I learnt form you
Do do do da do do do do do da do do do do do da do

I can be alone, yeah
I can watch a sunset on my own
I can be alone, yeah
I can watch a sunset on my own
I can be alone
I can watch a sunset on my own

I can be alone, yeah
I can watch a sunset on my own
I can be alone, yeah
I can watch a sunset on my own
I can be alone
I can watch a sunset on my own

Sitting in restaurants
Thought we were so grown up
But I know now that we were not the people
That we turned out to be

Chatting on the phone
Can’t take back those hours
But I won’t regret
‘Cause you can grow flowers
From where dirt used to be

Dancing at discos
Eating cheese on toast
Yeah you make me merry make me very very happy
But you obviously, you didn’t want to stick around

Dancing at discos
Eating cheese on toast
Yeah you make me merry make me very very happy
But you obviously, you didn’t want to stick around

So I learnt from you
Do do do da do do do do do da do do do do do da do
So I learnt from you
Do do do da do do do do do da do do do do do da do

I can be alone, yeah
I can watch a sunset on my own
I can be alone, yeah
I can watch a sunset on my own
I can be alone
I can watch a sunset on my own
(do do do da do do do do do da do do do do do da do)

I can be alone, yeah
I can watch a sunset on my own
I can be alone, yeah
I can watch a sunset on my own
I can be alone
I can watch a sunset on my own
(do do do da do do do do do da do do do do do da do)
