Honeymoons Over

The honeymoon is over
The long stares have all disappeared
She is not all he longs for
Here comes the loneliness they both feared

The bouquet has already died
The presents have all been opened
Her make-up stained the sheet where she cried
For this love she had all her hopes in

He seems angry with her all the time
He doesn’t trust her one bit
During the honeymoon they were just fine
Now they quarrel and have little fits

Usually it’s fine when it’s just them
Both are very attracted to each other
Then she opens her mouth again
And He always becomes bothered

The pedastool he stood her on broke
As she stumbled on her gown
She thought his leaving was some kind of hoax
Until her face hit the ground

All they seem to do anymore is argue
All they seem to do is react
They thought their love was a dream come true
Now they just seem ready to attack

The honeymoon was over before it got started
They thought their relationship would last forever
Their problems started the first time they parted
Maybe they were just not meant to be together
