I Lied

I lied in my last post when I said there is no one I think of at 4am. That’s simply not true. Lately, I wake up every morning thinking about one of my best friends, Crystal.

I wake up earlier and earlier and as soon as I am conscious, I start to  wonder how her night in the hospital went. Did she get any sleep? Does she feel better or worse today? Did the Dr. come in for rounds yet? What did he say? Can you go home today?  Is there anything new wrong? How is your spirit doing? Are you happier or sad today?

After I have had all of these thoughts, I text her. Then I hope for the best and hope that she can just keep pulling through this.
